Delicious food. Going back soon.
Excellent guacamole. Peppers stuffed with a very flavorful yet light blend of chicken, black beans, cheese, and more. Finished with a large serving of pumpkin flan that fortunately far lighter than it looked. Very pleasant atmosphere - sidewalk dining as well as in the restaurant. Service was excellent, if unhurried.
Food wasn't bad, but they got our order wrong at first then overcharged us on the bill. Dining space is very crowded.
I love the breakfast here. I have not tried lunch or dinner yet, but they really know how to make delicious Mexican breakfast food (at least I think it's Mexican breakfast food). They have a small covered patio, so you can sit inside or outside. I usually do street parking and am not sure if the block where it's located has a dedicated parking lot.
My favorite breakfast place in Pasadena. And it comes with a floor show of sorts, the multi-tasking cook amazes me as he simultaneously prepares multiple meals at the same time. Great breakfast burritos and omelettes. Even the pancakes rock.
First time here the food is amazing. With big portions, we spit a chicken sandwich with fries.and a kid soft taco for $20.
They have great mexican food at good prices. Our server was attentive and really helpful.
We stopped in for a quick lunch, and sat on patio ( see photo), which is nice. Service could have been better. Food was pretty good. We probably won't return. Waitstaff not very friendly or attentive.
Call ahead to verify hours. We walked there only to find that they were closing an hour early because it was slow. They wouldn't serve us.
One of my favorite brunch restaurants around SGV. If you're a vegetarian, they have a great vegetarian combination that's incredibly tasty. They had a seasonal pumpkin pancake that was simply the best tasting pancake I've ever had, and I'm not one to throw such words around flippantly. Not sure if their standard pancake is as good, but may give it a shot next time I go. Apparently they source their batter from some woman who makes it at home.
The food and service is good. It's a small place, but they do provide outdoor seating. The prices are reasonable. We have enjoyed eating there many times.
Great Breakfast. This was a relaxing little breakfast spot. We sat outside in a well shaded area. I had Heavos Rancheros and the wife ordered Mario's Flat Enchilada. Both were great alot of food at a fair price. Coffee is good. I also ordered the half and half: half coffee, half Mexican hot chocolate it was bomb.
Excellent Cuban sandwich and fries, service was fast, food came slowly. The Cuban was unusual, it had ham, grilled chicken, and nicely crispy roasted pork - delicious! The fries were similarly of good taste and texture, the kind that has those little crispy bits on them.Service was fast, and easy to work with; I must have come when the kitchen was just starting up (11:40am), though, since it took almost 20 minutes for my food to arrive hot and fresh.Would definitely come back, just maybe expect a little wait.
Decent, grilled shrimp was flavorful and smoky
Great food and ambiance. Small and cozy. Food is prepared fresh in front of you. Very reasonably priced.
First time at Yahaira's Cafe, waited about 30min during dinner time. Place is pretty popular so it's best to go at off times. They placed the complimentary basket of chips and bean dip at our table before we were even seated. Service was fast even despite being a full house. Food also came out surprisingly fast.
I enjoy their Latin breakfast cuisine because it is different from the standard fare, in a delicious and delightful way. Dedicated staff and attentive service.
Absolutely delicious! Their lunch tortes are fabulous and make sure to keep an eye out for dishes with their mango salsa. It's got a lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and fast. I'll definitely be going back here!
Very good place to eat authentic mexican food! Last time I was there for breakfast had the mexican panini and it tasted like my abuelita had made it! Good customer service too.
This little Yucatan restaurant has some of the best breakfast in town. The food comes out quickly and the servers are always friendly with a good morning or hello. I order to go a lot from here and they'll get me my coffee while I'm waiting then keep topping it off until I receive my order, then they'll get me a fresh cup to go
This is one of my favorite hidden gem in Pasadena for delicious Mexican food. Service is always excellent and you can’t never go wrong here.
I walked into this small Mexican restaurant during lunch time in a cloudy/raining day, not too many people inside and this is the first I got in here. The service staff greeted me, showed me my seat, handed me their menu and he goes "how about some pork tacos with avocado and beams? that is today's special". Well, I appreciated his friendly recommendation and gladly accepted his suggestion without even ask the price.... Shortly, the tacos plate was served; these tacos are very good, much better than my expectation, seriously. Then, the bill came at $12.95 (plus tax) which is very reasonable. I also like the staff's attitude toward customer: actively providing recommendation while I feel very comfortable for the entire lunch. This is a great lunch, I walked out very much refreshed.
Love this place! Awesome food, friendly servers!
Absolutely wonderful place to get breakfast. My colleague and I stopped by here for a business meeting. The restaurant was more of a cafe feel, minimal seating but well worth it.They served coffee with cinnamon which added a zing to it. I ordered the steak and eggs which were awesome. Very flavorful. The salsa was very good.My colleague ordered an omelette but the best part of her experience was they accommodated her request for gluten free. Though nothing on the list was labeled gluten but they assured they would take care of her. The kitchen was clean and they handled her request with great care. She did not get sick!!! Kudos to the staff.Highly recommend.
Great service & great traditional Mexican food. My husband always gets the huevos yucatan and I have tried everything in the menu.
This place great to eat small portions
Delicious food. Great people. Fast service. What more can I say?
Really enjoyed the Chorizo breakfast burrito, add avocado. The tomato was an interesting touch but it hindered the taste so I removed it.
Yahoo for Yahaira's! Our server (Eric with a K, wonder if that should be hyphenated) ordered my meal for me, yes I gave him 100% leeway, & it paid off. I had the Pisalla Chili plate was not at all what I would have ordered, but now it's the one I whole heartedly suggest.
Love meeting family members here for breakfast on the weekend. Parking is easy. Great food.
Very good mexican place for breakfast and lunch. Lived their coffee with a touch of cinnamon.
This places excellent! The service is good the food is fabulous. It's fresh and tasty with old dishes made new and healthier. This is one of my go to places when I have invited someone to lunch or someone is here from out of town ...I love Yahaira's.
The breakfast burrito was excellent
If they tidy up their kitchen then they are for sure 5 stars... amazing food and service. As I tipped earlier, I was able to have my lunch at the bar in less than 25 minutes from the time I sit down to pay my bill. Forgot how efficient this place is after frequenting this place for about a decade from 2000-2010. The tostadas and the tortas as well as the fries are to die for. The guys who were cooking and serving 20 years ago are still around. As much I remember them, they still remember me after not being around for almost 7-8 years. The owner also owns El Portal which is next door down in the arcade. Abel and his son sure run a great operation and know how to take care of their customers. Hope to come back in another 10 years and see the operation still going strong. Always support mom and pop businesses!!
Awesome food and awesome friendly staff!
This is my favorite breakfast spot. Good pancakes and good Mexican choices too. Their coffee has a hint of cinnamon. Yum!
I came from from Seattle it's the best food lve had in long time
The last time I went to Yahairas Cafe, I had one of their special breakfast dishes and it was ok but something was missing.
Best Mexican restaurant in the area! They have great food and prices, and the staff is friendly and helpful
I loved this place. Was not overpriced. The food was perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. Would strongly recommend and definitely going back!
Best burger I have tried
Issues with card machine otherwise a good breakfast.
Great unassuming local Mexican restaurant! Food is delicious and chili relleno and empanadas were worth getting again! Will be back!
Cute Little eatery across the street from Vromans. It's tiny and I believe has the same ownership as El Portal down the hall. I had the Mexican eggs Benedict and it was quite good. It's a tight fit inside, but cute.
Good service and the food is delicious.
Great food at a fair price. The breakfast burrito and chorizo omelet i ordered were delicious.
Good food good price good staff very underrated
Excellent Mexican breakfast! Just a small place but the food is fresh and delicious. Got the Mexican omelette with chorizo and avocado. Friend got the machaca breakfast which is eggs and shredded beef. I was so stuffed I didn’t need lunch!
Good Mexican food. But I felt the food is a little bland for my liking
The food was delicious, lots of healthy choices available. I went during lunch and the atmosphere was very nice a relaxing. Good service.
